About us

We are a Play & Nature based service that aims to provide children with safe spaces to be themselves and explore in their own unique ways.

  • "After following The Haven's journey on social media, I knew it was only a matter of time before we joined. The way my children were welcomed into the group was so warming. Each week I would see my children grow in a caring and safe environment. Alicia's compassion for each child's needs and ability to allow the children to lead the play is magic. And to be able to connect with other families, has made attending Nature Play a beautiful day in our week. "

  • "After removing my children from daycare, we welcomed the idea of a social group environment for our children. Our kids loved the Complete Beings program and the Nature Play from the start. To having a loving and supportive teacher that is present to this small group of children means that the children feel like they can explore beyond their boundaries in a safe environment. Children aren't told no, but rather a discussion of why and how which fosters their creativity. We are extremely grateful for these programs and the nurturing approach that Alicia has towards our children's education. It isn't always east to go against the main stream approach but having someone like Alicia in your corner and seeing the end result in your kids makes stepping off the beaten path all worth it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

  • "Lotte has been given the opportunity to be able to socialise in a non-structured environment and we've seen her come out of her shell so to speak. She's been able to explore different interests with the gentle support of Alicia. She's happily playing with other young kids without needing her older sister or us parents with her. This has been the biggest change, her independence from us. I've observed her learning to take turns with other kids, help create games and also get involved in whatever activities other kids are playing (puddle jumping, etc). We love Nature Play and can't wait to continue next term!"

  • "Nature Play Group has been so supportive for us as a family. As I transitioned to having a toddler and a baby, Leish facilitated a safe, interesting and calm space in nature where I was able to converse with other respectful women each week whilst my little ones played free. I'm really grateful for our time spent together and look forward to this year's opportunities."
